Pediatric Dentistry
Dental Fillings : Dental fillings fill the gap or hole in a tooth that’s decayed, broken or damaged so that, the tooth returns to its normal function and shape. A dental filling can be a single or a combination of plastic, glass, metal and other materials.
Cavity Fillings : Depending on the extent of the cavity, it is sometimes be necessary to provide pulp therapy, an indirect pulp cap or a stainless crown. It’s best to preserve the tooth for as long as possible, so that it falls out at an appropriate oral developmental stage for the child.
Dental Sealants : If your child is between the ages of 5 and 14, our pediatric dentists may recommend dental sealants for some cases. Dental Sealants are thin, plastic coatings painted on the chewing surfaces of the teeth that help prevent cavities from forming.
Flouride Treatments :
Dental fluoride treatment is one of the most effective ways to prevent tooth decay and maintain excellent dental health in children. This treatment is both safe and effective in decreasing the prevalence of cavities in children, in which fluoride acts as a shield for the outer enamel layer of the teeth to reverse early dental decay in many cases.
